Luna Park Sydney in Milsons Point
The park is a heritage-listed amusement park that is located at 1 Olympic Drive, Milson’s Point, NSW, Australia, situated on the northern shore of the Sydney Harbour. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 05 March 2010 and is owned and managed by The Luna Park Reserve Trust, an Agency of the Government of New South Wales.
The park was built from the northern approaches of The Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1935 and stands at approximately 600 metres (2,000 ft) and was opened all year round until 1972.
Most of the park was demolished because of the Ghost Train fire that killed six children and one adult; it was re-constructed under the name of Harbourside Amusement Park but was closed again after 13 months because of noise pollution complaints due to the Big Dipper Roller Coaster resulting in another redevelopment.
Finally, Luna Park re-opened its doors again in 2004 and has continued operating since then. Despite that, Milsons Point dentist North Sydney Dentistry is glad to serve this part of the area.
The park is now opened daily and park entry is Free, so you only need to pay for the games and the rides.
Park rides include: Coney Island, Wild Mouse, Dodgem City, Tumble Bug, Hair Raiser, Moon Ranger, Rotor, Ferris Wheel, Tango Train, and Carousel.
Opening hours always vary depending on the season and the day of the week, there are single-ride tickets and various multiple rides passes available, although height restrictions may apply for some rides.
